Candlepin Bowling

I'm totally slacking on doing all of the posts capturing our time in Maine.  Between seeing family (Jack, Judy & Alex) hadn't seen in over 8 years to playing at the beaches, eating pastries, seeing lighthouses (Owl's Head had by far the best view), eating the Best Hamburger in Maine (turkey burger for me) and one of the Top 10 Burgers in the nation according to Food Network, there is a lot to remember.  So, I've decided to capture the rest of the highlights in this one post.

As the name would suggest, one of the favorite times during our trip was taking Corbin candlepin bowling.  Candlepin bowling originated in New England, and is not availble out here in the great PNW.  Corbin L.O.V.E.D. bowling.  He approached it like he'd done it for years and even rooted his ball along as it rolled down the aisle.  With no bumpers in the gutters, it was a true test of skill.  He even beat us all, and we weren't trying to let him win.

He even perfected the jump/fist pump/cheer combo. Think of the old Toyota commercials, and you'll get the full effect from this picture.
