Up until last night, he would only go up the 1 stair to our front door. There was no interest in the 13 more stairs heading upstairs. And then he got a look on his face like, "watch this Mom" turned toward the flight of stairs and in less than a minute had climbed all the way to the top. I was proud of him yet terrified all at the same time. Not terrified enough to not grab a picture though. Now we're trying to figure out how to install a semi-permanent gate at the bottom of the stairs where the width is extra wide and the wall is angled. All brilliant ideas are welcome. Note to concerned readers: yes, I was a step behind him the whole way up.
What was once a place to remember the kids as babies and toddlers is now a place to simply document big moments in our lives.

Explorations
Our little man has finally realized that are yet-unexplored nooks and crannies in our house, and he's very determined to get into each and every one. Last night while I was doing dishes, Corbin crawled over to the garage door area to play with the door stop. Rather than hearing the "boing" of the door stop, Mike yells at me to grab the camera. He was in the garage and Corbin realized that if he crawls right up to the cat door, he can see Daddy through the door. Luckily he didn't try to go through the cat door.
