Big Sky Montana

We just returned from a week in Montana visiting Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Victoria & the Sterlings. We had a great time and returned home much more relaxed than when we left. The plan was to put our house up for sale on Friday mid-day, finish things up at work, pack, get the house in tip top shape, pack the car and leave by noon on Saturday just in time for Corbin's nap.

Well, after Mike battled the flu early in the week, I got it Thursday night. But, I didn't get worked wrapped up on Friday, the packing didn't happen until very last minute, and Corbin napped for 2 hours while we packed and cleaned. On the bright side, the house got listed, everything did eventually get packed, and the house was close enough to tip top shape and we left right on time. The entire trip was fun: caravanning with the Sterlings, hanging out on the lake with Mikee Margaritas, shipping coffee until 10:00 every morning, and watching Corbin bond with Aunt Victoria. He sure does adore her, and I'm pretty sure the feeling is mutual.

While we were there, Corbin racked up a list of firsts:
  • Stood up for the first time without hanging on to anything for a second or 2. (In Kellogg, ID, the birth place of his Nana. Hmmmm.)
  • First boat ride - Thanks Grandpa!
  • First doughnut - Thanks Grandpa again!
  • First Huckleberry Pancake. Or I should say pancakes. He had 7. Thanks Clyde!
  • First Huckleberry Muffin. He loves him some hucklberries. He ate the whole large muffin. Thanks Grandma!
  • First swim in Placid Lake
  • First 10 hour car ride. He was a champ!!!

We took tons of pictures, but here are some of my favorites.
