At the bus stop.
"Kindergarten is awesome!" Those were the words Corbin said as he got into the car this afternoon. He proceeded to tell me all the cool things he did. At the top of the list was playing tether ball at recess and eating lunch in the gym. This morning he also got to ride the school bus and was so eager to be the first one from his stop to get on the bus. The only hiccup was at pick up when his teacher didn't see me at the "walk up" spot she put him on the bus when I was really in the carpool lane. Luckily Corbin saw me and got off the bus and ran to the car. It did give me a good reason to reach out to his teacher and learned that she thinks Corbin is eager to learn and easy going. Eager to learn; she nailed it. But Easy going-really?! I guess he didn't let his type A / persnikkidy-ness show today. :).
We are all looking forward to this year. His teacher has been teaching kindergarten for over 30 years, and is a saint.
