After...
After 3 weeks without a fully functioning kitchen, it is finally finished (minus some finish carpentry ala Mikee). It was a long road, but we're both happy with the results. Luckily Corbin is still moving using a leap frog type of move, which is rather slow. With all of the debris, nails, plastic, etc. all over the house the fact he is still moving slow was a God send.
The best part of it all was the counter install only took 4 hours. The worst part was the floors, which took 4 days, finishing at 9:30 pm Saturday night. When they started the floors, the contractor put up a plastic wall in between the kitchen and family room. But, in clearing out the kitchen, we put the microwave in the family room. That first night, it took us about 5 minutes to figure out how to heat a bottle without the use of the microwave. We never felt so naive/spoiled and like millenials when we realized we could heat water on the stove.
