A Week of Firsts

We've had quite a week full of firsts.

1) First time sleeping all the way through the night; from 8:00 pm to 7:00 the next morning. Oh what a joy! He's done it twice in the last weeks, but woken up at his usual 3:00 am the rest of the nights. But, those 2 nights sure were heaven and proof to Mike & I that he may have it in him after all.

2) First time saying "mama". Okay, so maybe it was in the middle of a cry and likely an accident, but I came running just the same and made it a big deal.

3) First plane ride. He was a champ both ways.

What a traveler!

4) First trip to Montana to visit Grandma and Grandpa. We had a great time, and are still recovering from all the food we ate.

5) First technical Christmas. While we were in MT, we celebrated Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa Elliott. We can't wait to read the Dr. Seuss and Pooh books to Corbin when he's old enough. He also got a furry bear outfit that has come in really handy with this freezing weather.

Don't worry Mom, the outfit is washed and ready to go for the "official" Christmas too.

6) First time in sub-zero weather. -18 degrees, and -42 degrees with wind chill. Seattle felt down right balmy when we got home.

So we really didn't go out in the sub-zero weather except to get on the plane, but we did bundle up the day before the frigid weather hit and went out for a family pic. The family pic is coming soon to a Christmas Card near you.

7) First snow. Also in Montana, but coming home to more snow (yet dry roads) put us in the Christmas spirit.
