Last week we had a great time with Grandma and Grandpa Elliott. Along with Auntie V., they all came out to enjoy Thanksgiving. At least, that's what they claim. We're wise to that...they were really here to see Corbin. My mom came up for Turkey day, and Corbin loved having all of his grandparents in one place.

The next day, we were off to the Carnation Tree Farm to find the perfect tree to initiate Corbin to his first Christmas. In true Swieso family fashion, Mike knew not to look at the trees by the car, but find the tree that is furthest from the parking lot. I, however found a great tree only about 25 yards from the car. Maybe this whole mom thing really is changing the way I view the world.
Mike and his dad promptly set up the tree once we got home. It took only a little bribery...a turkey sandwich dipped in gravy and a Bailey's Mocha. It's now lit and decorated, and thanks to a 3 hour nap from Corbin yesterday, the house is also decorated.
Today, Corbin and I set out for Bell-Square to find Santa. He was all dressed up in his Christmas best (thanks Grams!) and ready to meet the big guy. Corbin was a trooper and even flashed some smiles at Santa, right before spitting up all over. The downside of hoping a full, well rested baby will lead to an uneventful picutre taking.
Through all of this, I've realized that the Holidays are just as busy even without a full time job. This coming weekend, we're off to see our friend Chris in Scrooge. It will be our 2nd date since Corbin was born (thanks again Mom!) and will break my record of being away from Corbin from the current 3 hours.
