What was once a place to remember the kids as babies and toddlers is now a place to simply document big moments in our lives.

Garrett, 9 months
Baby 'Rett recently hit the 9 month mark and even with the hussle and bussle of the holidays, it did not go un-noticed. He is becoming more of a baby and less of an infant each day. Crawling has been mastered, as has pulling himself up on furniture. He's good enough that his crib mattress is now on the bottom level. Cruising around the furniture has yet to be discovered and admittedly Mike and I are in no hurry to show him. The thought of another boy being to run through the house makes us a bit tired when we think about it. He has, however learned that almost everything can become a drum if you hit it hard enough, such as the ottoman, the high chair, miscelaneous boxes, etc. He is still perfectly in the 50th percentile for all of his stats: 19 lbs., 5 oz and 18 1/4" tall. His head circumfrance is 18" around. While we were at the Dr. for his happy baby visit, he got diagnosed with his first ear infection. Thinking back to Corbin, we had dealt with more than our fair share of ear infections by 9 months, so getting to 9 months without one doesn't see too bad.
We love to hear him babble throughout the day. His most common phrase is "Blah blah blah." At about 8.5 months, he decided that he is much too old for baby food and would much rather have "real" food, even though he has only 2 teeth (tooth #3 is trying to make an appearance). His latest favorite is scrambled eggs.
