Montana Trip, Summer 2012

Last weekend, we loaded up the car and braved our first drive to MT with Garrett (a baby that does NOT like his carseat).  Luckily both the drive there and back were easier than expected thanks to the help of the white noise made when you roll down the window going 80 mph.  Besides Garrett's first trip to Bubbie & Grumpa's house and to Placid Lake, there were many wonderful memories created including Corbin's first fishing expedition at which he caught 2 fish (a dedicated blog post coming soon), visiting the newly built Gazebo, aka "party porch" at the lake, and seeing the small town 4th of July parade.  There is something really cool about a small town USA 4th of July parade.  Corbin scored with the candy, and even got a t-shirt, flag, and bead necklaces.

What's better than looking at the view?  Swinging!

Silly times in the hammock.

The fishing expedition.

He's working hard in this picture.  Promise.  We just don't know at what.

4th of July parade.

Garret LOVED the parade.  I was hopeful he would grab a nap, but alas he had things to see!

That's Victoria in the old fire truck (blue dress).

Tired baby at the 4th of July BBQ.

No trip is complete without hanging with Clyde & Sherry.

The ever so glamorous bathroom being set up at the lake.
We definitely can't wait to go back.  Corbin had such a great time he cried when we got in the car to leave and cried again when we got home.  One of the neighbors has a carved Pinochio and Jiminy Cricket by the road we drove by everyday.  He already misses seeing Pinnochio and "Jiminy the Wicket" every day.  Next year....
