Summer Trip to Montana

Last weekend, Mike & I headed to Montana for our last trip just the 2 of us. We had the usual fun on Placid Lake, hanging out with the Sterlings. It was a bummer I had to play it safe, because the Hobie Cat trip looked like a true adventure! Mike went for his first ride in the Kayak that Pat built last year. He was a bit unstable at first, but got the hang of it pretty quickly and came back dry which was a bummer for those of us on the dock.

One of the other highlights of the trip was seeing the completed Tear Drop trailer. It made it's maden voyage all the way from the garage to the driveway while we were there. A couple of the cool things that were added is a 2007 Montana state quarter to commemorate the year it was built, and a sign in one of the storage boxes that says, "Tear Drop Trailer, built by Patrick Elliott and Michael Elliott." It's first glimpse of sunlight was well documented..
