Demo Day

One thing that has bothered us about our house since we moved in was the layout of the family room.  With the bookcases on either side of the fireplace and only one long wall, it always felt like a bit of a bowling alley to us.  A couple weeks ago we took out the bookcases and rearranged the furniture to make sure we would like the new layout, and both of us were frustrated that we didn't do this years ago.
Today was demo day of the brick and the fireplace.  The kids love the totally empty room, but that means that all of that furniture is scattered throughout the rest of the house.  For example, we are flashing back to the 80's and have to get up to change the channel on the TV.  The cable box is in the kitchen, but the TV is in the living room.

Corbin has been totally excited about this remodel.  He geared up and took the first swing of the sledge hammer and also knocked the first brick out.
