Garrett the toddler

Hard to believe our baby is already 18 months old. At his check up today the pediatrician commented that he was very confident, independent and cooperative. I had to laugh at "cooperative" because at home he is anything but cooperative. He has an agenda he wants to stick too and it usually involves doing what Corbin is doing regardless if skill level or amount of chokies at hand. Spend time at our house and you will certainly experience the Garrett Scream. High pitched, loud, long and ear ringing. Sigh.

He is perfectly healthy and growing as he should in the 50-70 percentile. 24 lbs, and 33 inches long-a full inch taller than his brother at the same age.

While he does have a couple of words he uses regularly, "ouch", "go", "hi", "bye" and "duck", the pediatrician did think he is a bit speech delayed. Not delayed enough to get an evaluation done quite yet. We will see what the next 2-3 months bring and then determine next steps if any. It is quite cute how he says "bye" and he gets a very sweet southern accent and simply says "ba".

In the spirit of always trying to keep up with Corbin he decided he too needs to play outside with a bike helmet on. Never can be too safe right?  I was able to capture a couple pictures of it finally.
