Montana, 2013

We just returned from a fantastic week in Montana visiting family and friends (The Sterlings).  It was the first time in at least 10 years that all of the Sterlings and all of the Elliotts were there at the same time.  What a crowd it has become!  4 Grandparents, 4 parents, 1 uncle, 1 aunt and 5 children ages 6 and under.  It's a loud bunch.  I got in a water ski ride, Mike got in a Hobie Cat ride, and we all got plenty of lake swimming.  With temps in the 90s each day, we spent every afternoon in and around the lake.  We definitely  have a case of post-vacation funk today.

Once again, Corbin loved fishing off the dock with Grandpa.  Though no fish were reeled in this year, a fish was caught.  This particular fish bit off the hook, and Corbin's first fishing story was born.  According to him, this fish was really a huge shark, and that is why the hook was bitten off.

The building of the cabin has begun, with the foundation nearly complete.  We got to watch the excavator at work and several loads of dirt be dumped by the dump truck.  To an almost 5 year old boy, that was pretty thrilling.

I took over 300 pictures last week, here are a couple of my favorites.
So excited to swim, yet too tired to actually get out of the car.

Each kid got a bandanna and cowboy hat.  No cowboy songs this trip given nap times and bed times.  Next year for sure..

The big kids were not to be left out.

Life at the lake is so tough!!!

Playing with Grandma Sherry.

Learning to cast.  He got really good by the end of the week.

He'd make a pretty cute clown!

The babies, only 3 months apart.

One of Corbin's Birthday wishes was to celebrate with Claire.  We celebrated with Dirt Cake and Cupcakes.

Getting "mummified" by Bubbie.

Lounging, because vacation is pretty tough work!
