We did it. We pulled off a surprise trip to Disneyland. Both Mike and I were so excited about this trip that we almost slipped up multiple times. Finally, the stage was set and after telling Corbin we were going to do chores and yard work all weekend, it was time for us to come clean. The video is too large to upload here, so this link will have to do. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10200451269218701
A few memories not captured on camera....
- Seeing Corbin sit on a roller coaster for the first time, already knowing he wanted to sit in front and instantly put his arms up in the air. The happy, content look on his face was priceless.
- After all of the wild rides, parades, ice cream breaks, etc. Corbin's favorite thing was the Train Ride around Disney. Ah, the simple things.
- The total let down on all of our faces walking back to the hotel the last night, knowing it would likely be a couple years before we go to Disneyland again.
- Watching the fireworks at Disneyland from the porch of our hotel with the doors cracked open to the rooms. Everyone slept through them except Garrett.
- Paying $18 for Chateau Ste. Michelle Chardonnay. I could've shipped to the hotel for cheaper than that.
- Washing Garrett's sippy cups in the hotel room sink with the hotel provided shampoo. Dish soap -- a detail I didn't think about.

We loved using the Fast Pass with the Baby Swap ticket. Corbin and Ainsley got to go on several rides 2 times in a row with the parent that hung back with Garrett while the rest of the group was on the ride.

My Turn to be Corbin's navigator. Good thing he won't be driving for another 12 years.

Goofy's Roller Coaster.

Baby Garret spent a LOT of time in the stroller on this trip. What a trooper!

Baby Garrett....still in the stroller.

Radiator Springs was one of the highlights of the trip.

We got to celebrate Sydney's Birthday at Ariel's Grotto.

The wonder in his eyes was a constant.
Corbin and Ainsley each had an appointment at the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique. Ainsley was to become a Princess and Corbin a Prince.

Before.....
These 2 started having a conversation with each other with their eyes. It was as if they were twins. It was priceless.
|
Corbin thought he was all that. Ainsley got a little shy.
