Happy 1/2 Birthday, Baby Garrett!

These last 6 months have flown by, and we've loved seeing Baby Garrett grow.  Corbin asked me just this morning when Garrett was going to grow up.  Mike told him just as fast as he was growing.  That made me a little sad, as Corbin grew up fast and Garrett is growing up faster.

Garrett is learning new tricks everyday.  He loves to roll forward and back working his way around a room.  Thankfully no quick mobility yet, but I'm sure gates aren't too far in our future.  When on the floor he is working hard at getting his little legs underneath him.  There's nothing cuter than seeing that little baby bum sticking straight up in the air.  The hematoma (bump) he got when he was born has finally gone away and he now has a perfectly round little noggin.  While he's still drooling, chewing and teething all the time, there are still no teeth.  He's also discovered he has toes and that they reach into his mouth so perfectly during a diaper change.  The days of a still baby during a diaper change are behind us for sure.  He is also loving to reach for everything in sight.  Since he believes that naps are for sissies these days, but the time we get home and have dinner, he is fully in "hold me baby" mode.  Fussy, reaching baby makes for some messy meals for Mom and Dad.  Maybe we should be wearing the bib!

Happy 1/2 Birthday to our Garrett!  We can't wait to see what these next 6 months brings.  We go to the Dr. for his check up on Tuesday, so will update his stats then.

Corbinism:
Corbin, "Mommy, why do we have butts?"
Me, "So we can sit."
Corbin, "But if we slice off our butts, we would just have a flat spot to sit on."
With his fascination for all things poop, I was quickly wanting to end this conversation, so I said, "Why would you want to do that?!  There'd be no cushion when we sit."
Corbin, "I was just wondering."  Phew!
