Tonight while playing with his cars, Corbin said, "Mommy, I go pee in potty." Jumping at the chance to see if he's actually do it, we ran upstairs to the big boy potty. Sure enough, as soon as his diaper was off, he did it. Afterward, I told him that every time he did that, he'd get a treat. He was super excited and ran to the pantry asking for chocolate, a "big piece" to be exact. Once he had the chocolate in his hand, he put his hand in the air and said, "nice job!" It was super cute.
About 30 minutes later, he said it again, and was successful again. As soon as he was done, he said, "Now get chocolate." This time he didn't let me put a diaper back on him. He took the diaper and threw it down the stairs and said, "All done with diapers." It was a struggle to get him to keep the diaper on at bedtime.
While we know better to get our hopes up that potty training could ever be this easy, it's 2 steps ahead of where we were yesterday. But he's super excited about his big boy pants with Diego on them we ordered tonight to get here.
