Development News

Not much has been going on, as we have all been battling a cold. But, Mike & I realized that the last 2 weeks Corbin has made some big strides in development which has been so fun to watch.
The other night we kept hearing this banging sound coming from him room. When we went to check on him, he had figured out how to turn the aquarium in his crib on and off, and was completely enthralled with it. Hearing that go on and off has been a daily routine now. This morning, about 5:00, Corbin woke up and started playing with it. Mike went in to turn it off and gave him his binky in hopes of Corbin going back to sleep. No luck...15 minutes later Mike goes back in. When Corbin noticed Mike the 2nd time, rather than the smiles we usually get, Corbin looked shocked. He immediately slipped his hand up and turned off the aquarium, and went back to sleep. We have a feeling the aquarium won't be in his crib for too much longer.

A while back, he also discovered his toes and quickly learned how to rip off his socks in a matter of seconds. He's now learned how to get not 1, not 2, but 3 toes in his mouth at a time. For those of you that now how I feel about feet, yes, it grosses me out even though he has cute feet.

Probably my favorite development is the kisses. He hasn't quite mastered the skill but once he grabs your face you know you're going to get slimed. I must say it's the best slime ever! Corbin is also reaching out for everything...especially anything that happens to be in my hand.
With all of these new tricks, we can't wait for the Elliotts to get into town this weekend. Rather than going to day-care on Friday, he gets to spend the day with Grandpa and Grandma. I'm sure he'll keep them on thier toes!

I love keeping up with Corbin's accomplishments and seeing him! Maybe someday we will get to have a cute grandbaby we can brag about...ya think? Maybe next time we are down we can meet Corbin in person! I would love to see a picture of him in his fish hat. Take Care! Deb
